  13. My system hangs intermittantly, and sounds like the problem you're having.
  14. Are you running at 28.8?  If so, check to see if your modem has an error light
  15. (could be labled "tst") and if it flashes, it may be due to the modems catching
  16. errors and re-negotiating line speed, or something like that.  My actual connect
  17. speed is 26K.  I was told, that in my case, I need to set my modem to go no
  18. higher than 24K for my line, and that should fix the problem (less hangs).  I'll
  19. be trying it soon.  A friend with a PC who PPPs into the Sun at work, like I do,
  20. experiences the same problem, and fixed it with the speed change I mention above.
